What We Do


​FP Builder Partners actively help companies from founding stage to global scale. We join our partner companies as minority co-founders, seed them and then dedicate as much time as needed to drive all areas of company-building, including:
​
  • Evaluating, brainstorming and iterating on your assumptions about the overall market and your product’s fit in it…to get you to the right product faster.
  • Building your financial model including budget and unit economic assumptions so you can track and manage your business.
  • Identifying and securing customers and strategic partnerships to help you build your revenues.
  • Implementing digital marketing (SEM, SEO, social, mobile, email, etc.) to scale your revenues profitably and quickly.
  • Securing additional seed, venture and/or growth capital as necessary.
  • Coaching you to become a great leader and helping you set priorities.
  • Recruiting executives to enable you to grow your company faster.
  • Planning, navigating, and negotiating the sale of your company.

How We're Different


  • We have unique and complementary skill sets –  Some partners have unique expertise in growing a company from idea to profitability including product, technology and operations.  Others in deal-making, raising capital and selling businesses. All partners overlap in the areas of finance, strategy and other areas of business acumen.
  • We’re minority co-founders – we join as co-founders and work very deeply with our partner companies.  We're not passive "advisors."
  • We’re principal investors – we invest our own capital.  We're not VCs who invest other people’s money (limited partners or LPs);  investing our own money makes us more flexible and better aligned with entrepreneurs since we don’t have to force liquidity events for LPs.
  • We’re not accelerators – we focus on a small number of companies, have a highly customized approach (not a typical 2-8 week accelerator program that teaches you how to tell a story and raise money), think holistically about company-building (not a myopic view from a corporate executive) and we’re committed for the long-haul (to profitability and beyond). 
  • We’re highly competent serial company-builders – our track record is stellar.

  • Highly technical founder who wants to change the world
  • Bootstrapper with integrity
  • Determined but willing to listen, adapt quickly and grow
  • Visionary and data driven
  • Operates with true grit and perseverance
  • Has working mobile, internet or software product with traction (ideally some initial revenue)
